Leading Development

Excel has led development projects whose focus is training participants with labor market and economic well-being skills.

Excel has held many trainings in business skills development, leadership, tailoring, basic computer skills, as well as career counseling.

One such project was The Women Home–Based Business Network Project (HBWN).

A United States Agency for International Development (USAID) project, HBWN was a six month pilot designed to enable women to secure sustainable livelihoods. It began in July 2019 and ended in December 2019. This work was conducted in the rural areas with great insecurity, and the project not only delivered successful results but sparked the creation of a network, which was not initially intended.

The training module for basic business for women working at home was developed and taught through discussions and pictures due to the high illiteracy rate of the women participants.
